How are days calculated?
Our calculator provides several ways to measure the time between dates:
- Total days: The complete number of days between dates
- Full weeks: Complete weeks (7-day periods) between dates
- Weekdays: Number of Monday-Friday days (excluding weekends)
- Date difference: Shows years, months, and remaining days
What does "Include End Day" mean?
The "Include End Day" option affects how the final day is counted:
- When checked: The end date is included in the count
- When unchecked: Calculation stops before the end date
- Example: Jan 1 to Jan 3 with end day included = 3 days
- Example: Jan 1 to Jan 3 without end day = 2 days
How are weekdays calculated?
Weekday calculations consider:
- Only Monday through Friday are counted
- Saturdays and Sundays are excluded
- The calculation respects the "Include End Day" setting
- Holidays are not automatically excluded
